Check the contract address
Only trust the address on the project's own site, on the URL you typed yourself. Never copy it from a DM, a reply, or a search ad.

Check who controls the contract
Confirm mint authority is renounced. Check for upgrade proxies, hidden blacklist functions, or fee-changing owners. If any of them exist, the contract has a landlord.

Check the liquidity
Confirm the liquidity is burned or long-locked, and on a launchpad check when that lock actually takes effect — most only lock once the launch completes. A tiny, removable pool is a bear trap covered in gold coins.

Check the socials
Real communities argue. Silent, over-moderated, over-hyped channels usually have something to hide.

Check the promise
'Risk free.' 'Guaranteed.' 'Can only go up.' These are not features. They are the sound of a bowstring being drawn.

Check yourself
If you are in a hurry because 'you will miss it', pause. Nothing that is legitimate at 10:14 is illegitimate at 10:19.
